Gloria,
born in 1945 is a truly dynamic and innovative visual artist.
She developed this distinctive and mesmerising design after noticing
an arrangement of leaves on the desert ground in her native Utopia
region. Instead of referring to the generic body or ground painting
designs, Gloria considered using this simple chance reference
as a repetitive visual device! These designs still fascinate her
and indeed audiences all around the world who continue to collect
and commission works from this renowned series. |
